This formula produces a value that is
.000048....larger than Pi. And that's a difference of only .0015....
of 1%. Since it is so close to Pi and is built around Phi I think it
deserves a name so I've decided to call it CD.
Maybe our concept of Pi has been around for so long that it has
achieved the status "Fact". What I'm thinking is that CD may be the
true relationship between the circumference and the diameter of a
circle ! I know that's a strong statement, but do we really know ?
Even with todays High-Tech equipment can we measure that close ? What
would we measure ? Has anybody tried lately ? Perhaps the infinite
sided polygon concept only works in Flatland and doesn't quite fit in
our world. I'm not a mathematician but, in looking over some of the
formulas i've seen for Pi, I wonder if what they prove is only their
own process and perhaps each other. There are several formulas for
calculating CD, but I like the one above the best. What it shows is,
that a circle with a diameter of 5, each 60 degree arc has a length
of Phi2 ( isn't that neat ?). I wonder how LaGrange would
have thought that fit in with his Nodes and Jovian Bodies and all
that ?
